The Municipality of Uccle invites the public to discover the new fresco at the Jardin du Chat, created by Aurore Vegas, a Brussels-based illustrator and comic book author. Her artistic universe draws inspiration from natural forms and everyday life.
Selected by a professional jury following a highly successful call for applications, the artist has conceived a work that enhances the new playground and celebrates the Jardin du Chat as an open meeting place for everyone.
The fresco was created through a participatory approach involving workshops held on-site. About ten children and local residents shared their ideas and perspectives on this neighborhood living space.
The inauguration will be attended by the Alderman for Culture and the Alderman for Green Spaces.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at the Jardin du Chat, located at rue de Boetendael 61.
