Since September 2026, ASBL Communa has been managing the temporary occupation of the former Médiathèque Nouvelle building in Auderghem. The project aims to allow different stakeholders to develop their activities during a transitional period, pending the building's future repurposing.
An initial series of projects has already moved in, focusing on areas such as care and well-being, music, theatre, artistic and artisanal practices, and the social and solidarity economy. However, some spaces remain available.
Communa offers various types of spaces: private or shared offices and workshops, storage areas, common spaces, and rooms for socio-cultural activities. Shared formulas are also available for projects with more limited budgets.
The call is particularly aimed at non-profits, collectives, companies, independent professionals, foundations, and individuals without a legal structure. Projects are evaluated based on their social and solidarity impact, local roots, and the compatibility of their activities with the available spaces.
