From November 13 to December 4, 2026, the Prevention Service of the Municipality of Uccle, in partnership with the 1180 and Homborch neighborhood centers, is relaunching the Solidaritybag operation to support the homeless and Uccle residents in precarious situations.

This citizen initiative aims to collect hygiene products, food items, as well as scarves and snoods made by participants from the neighborhood centers. The objective is twofold: to provide material support and to raise public awareness about precariousness.
Fifth and sixth-grade primary school students from Uccle schools are actively involved through their citizenship classes. Since 2024, the 1180 and Homborch neighborhood centers have also participated through the 'Solidarity Knitting' initiative, accepting donations of wool, scarves, and hats in very good condition throughout November.
The distribution of bags will be carried out by the street educators team from the Prevention Service during December, in collaboration with young people from the Melkriek, Homborch, and Merlo neighborhoods. Donations will be given directly to people on the street or to partner organizations.
To participate, you have until Friday, December 4, 2026, to drop off your donations of food and/or hygiene products at the Prevention Service, rue de Stalle 77, Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
For the 'Solidarity Knitting' workshops and to drop off wool donations, contact the 1180 Neighborhood Center (rue Robert Scott 14 - 0495/24.57.87) or the Homborch Neighborhood Center (rue du Kriekenput 14 - 0491/03.23.00).
