CIVIS is launching a new micro-certification project, open to the entire university community, to strengthen skills and civic engagement.

The CIVIS micro-certification project is aimed at the entire university community, including students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and administrative staff. These short courses, culminating in a certification, utilize innovative pedagogical methods and a skills-based approach, offering a flexible solution to meet the demands of the current job market.
The "University Civic Engagement" course aims to deepen understanding of the role of universities as actors creating positive impact on society and the environment. Participants will gain a thorough comprehension of civic engagement and its relevance to social, political, and economic developments.
By mastering specific pedagogical tools and methods, participants will enhance their ability to integrate civic participation activities into their teaching practices or curriculum design. The course will help highlight and increase the visibility of their work's contribution to society, offering concrete tools and enabling them to fully assume their social responsibility in teaching and research.
This course assists university staff in making the relevance of their own work transparent and useful to society, showing them how they can personally assume social responsibility in teaching and research.
The course is delivered in English (B2 level) and comprises 60 hours of training, equivalent to 2 ECTS credits. Registration is free.
