Over 2,650 VUB students celebrate graduation on Grand Place

This year, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is celebrating a record with 2,650 students receiving their diplomas on Brussels' Grand Place, from Monday, October 5th to Wednesday, October 7th. This turnout marks an increase compared to the 2,500 graduates from the previous year.

The graduation ceremonies will take place on the Grand Place and at the Brussels Town Hall, in close collaboration with the City of Brussels. The traditional balcony moment, where graduates appear on the Town Hall balcony and are celebrated, is always a particularly photogenic and festive occasion.

Over three days, students from all VUB faculties will be honored, covering diverse fields such as law, medicine, psychology, engineering, sciences, economics, and social sciences. Family and friends are invited to join the celebrations in the center of Brussels. Each proclamation will be followed by a reception at Plein Publiek on the Montagne des Arts.

Monday, October 5th:
- 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Business Administration & Management
- 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Master of Business Engineering, Applied Economic Sciences, International Business, Business & Technology
- 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Communication Sciences, Sociology, Political Sciences
- 4:00 PM - 6:15 PM: Law & Criminology
- 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Multidisciplinary Institute for Teacher Training (MILO)
- 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Brussels School of Governance
Tuesday, October 6th:
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Arts & Philosophy
- 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Sciences & Bio-engineering Sciences
