The ANTE Festival returns for its second edition on October 3-4 and 10-11, 2026, offering an immersion into the 'long 19th century' (1780-1920) in Brussels through guided tours and lectures.

For two weekends, October 3-4 and 10-11, 2026, the ANTE Festival offers an exploration of the pivotal period of the 'long 19th century' (1780-1920), covering Neoclassical and Eclectic styles, as well as the architectural and technical evolutions that shaped modernity.
Organized by Explore.Brussels, this festival aims to reveal a lesser-known facet of Brussels: that of a foundational century marked by significant urban, social, architectural, and technical transformations, paving the way for the emergence of 20th-century movements.
The program will include high-quality guided tours led by heritage specialists, providing access to interiors usually closed to the public. Architectural tours through various Brussels neighborhoods, thematic conferences, and activities for all audiences will complete the offerings.
Among the exceptional sites open to visitors are the former Palace of the Count of Flanders (Cour des Comptes), the Masonic lodge Les Amis Philanthropes, the Hap House, the former central headquarters of CGER (Hôtel Fleur de Ville), the former Jules Waucquez & Cie firm (Archives de la Ville de Bruxelles), and the Spoelberch de Lovenjoul hotel (Residence of the French Ambassador).
The festival will take place in various communes of Brussels, from October 3 to 11, 2026. More information is available on the website www.ante.brussels.
