The next session of the Municipal Council of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 8 PM in the Salle des Fêtes, located at Av. du Roi Albert 33. This public meeting will also be broadcast live on the municipal YouTube channel 1082berchem.
The agenda includes the approval of the minutes from the August 27, 2026 meeting, as well as an interpellation from residents concerning the cancellation of the planned sale of plot A386B. The temporary absence of municipal councilor Gladys KAZADI due to maternity leave will also be noted.
Several items will concern the acknowledgment of annual accounts and activity reports from the inter-municipal bodies BRULABO, VIVAQUA, SIBELGA, INTERFIN, d’Inhumation, and technical and economic studies, as well as annual reports from administrators appointed by the municipality. The annual accounts of the TMVS dv inter-municipal company will also be reviewed.
The agenda also includes the acknowledgment of annual accounts for the public law associations « Les Cuisines Bruxelloises », along with a communication on their annual report. The College of Mayor and Aldermen will provide information on public procurement launched under Article 234§3 of the New Municipal Law.
Under the responsibility of Mayor M. LAMOULINE, the council will address the project for the regrouping of the Municipal Administration and the CPAS, with approval of the mission contract for change management support by ERAP. The ratification of agreements on municipal administrative sanctions for mixed offenses committed by minors and adults is also planned.
The 6th alderman, M. BEL-HOUSSEÏNE, will present a works contract in 3 lots for the electrical and fire safety compliance of the Basilique Sports Complex and the Central School of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, with an estimated amount of €255,470.00 (excl. VAT). The private sale of a plot of land and the purchase of an industrial building will also be discussed.
Agreements for the free provision of municipal buildings for youth activities will be approved, notably concerning the 73rd scout unit of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe and the De Kuub association.
Additional points introduced by municipal councilors are also on the agenda, including an interpellation on the performance of aldermen, an interpellation on the animal welfare code by Geoffrey VAN HECKE (OpenMR Municipal Councilor), and a motion on combating organized crime, public safety, and strengthening prevention and public health policies, introduced by Walid BOUZAGOU (PS Vooruit+ Municipal Councilor).
