Following numerous complaints about parking, Anderlecht's Urban Development and Mobility service proposes extending the meeting zone on Rue de l'Emancipation and is consulting residents for their feedback.

In response to numerous complaints regarding parking on Rue de l’Emancipation, the Urban Development and Mobility service of the Municipality of Anderlecht is proposing a change in regulations. The aim is to extend the meeting/residential zone on this street.
In accordance with Article 22bis of the Highway Code, parking will henceforth be prohibited everywhere except in spaces specifically demarcated by road markings or a different coloured surface, marked with the letter "P", or in locations where a traffic sign explicitly permits it.
In this context, the municipality wishes to gather residents' opinions on this proposal, particularly concerning the demarcation of future parking spaces. A plan detailing the planned markings is available for consultation.

Your opinion matters for your neighbourhood. If the majority of you support the project or in the absence of majority negative feedback by 13/11/2026, we will proceed with the markings.

Citizens are invited to provide their feedback to the Urban Development and Mobility service, either by mail to Rue de Veeweyde 100, or by email to mobilite@anderlecht.brussels.
