Stib is continuing the progressive renewal of tram tracks on the Avenue de Tervueren. From September 28, 2026, to April 2027, the section concerned runs between Boulevard de la Woluwe and Square Léopold II. The Jules César and Chien Vert tram stops will also be renovated. Additionally, Bruxelles Mobilité will install several speed bumps.
During the works, sidewalks will remain accessible. Local traffic will be possible on the side lane, temporarily diverted through parking areas which will therefore not be permitted. Local diversions will be implemented as the construction progresses. Crossings between the side and main lanes at Chien Vert and Jules César will also be closed for a period.
Regarding public transport, trams 39 and 44 will operate normally until October 2 inclusive. From October 3, a T-Bus will provide the service between Montgomery and Musée du Tram, via the main lanes of Avenue de Tervueren, and will continue to Mérode to facilitate metro connections. Bus 36 towards Maelbeek will run on the main lanes of Avenue de Tervueren, between Musée du Tram and Chien Vert.
