The 'Les Follies' public art program in Germinal, initiated by artist Elise Eeraerts, is progressing with the installation of 3D-printed ceramic sculptures based on residents' memories.

The 101e % initiative, managed by the SLRB, aims to foster community connection through public art. In Germinal, this program has been brought to life since 2024 by the artistic project Les Follies, conceived by artist Elise Eeraerts.
Inspired by encounters, exchanges, and memories gathered from local residents, Elise Eeraerts has designed ceramic sculptures. These works were created using 3D printing technology, incorporating visual testimonies like photos and drawings.
The sculptures, Le Labyrinthe Folly (comprising 24 elements) and Le Treillis Folly, are now complete. The installation of Le Labyrinthe Folly is underway.
A participatory planting day is scheduled for Sunday, November 8th. Residents are invited to help shape the green spaces that will host these new artworks, bringing the total number of sculptures enhancing the Germinal neighborhood to five.
Through Les Follies, art not only beautifies the neighborhood but also tells its story, the stories of its inhabitants, and their memories.
