Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) is launching a call for projects for its "Citoyens du monde" program, aimed at students wishing to engage with international relations and law.

The "Citoyens du monde" program by Wallonie-Bruxelles International aims to open young people to international relations and familiarize them with the principles of international organizations. It also seeks to develop students' professional skills, promote inter-student relationships, and encourage mutual understanding, international cooperation, respect, and cultural diversity.
This program supports two types of initiatives in Wallonia and Brussels: participation in simulated international sessions or negotiations within intergovernmental or non-governmental organizations, and participation in international moot court competitions covering various legal fields (civil, criminal, public international, international trade law).
International organization simulations are designed to train participants in negotiations, enhance their understanding of political and technical issues, and develop their communication, international relations, and diplomacy skills. Students embody official delegates representing a country's position in important multilateral institutions.
Moot court competitions aim to foster emulation, legal research, and the art of public speaking, serving as a practical complement to university theoretical teachings.
The target audience includes students regularly enrolled in a higher education institution recognized by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, studying law, political science, international relations, economics, or any other relevant field that adds value to the team.
Projects can take place between November 1, 2026, and October 31, 2027. For projects occurring between November 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027, the application deadline is November 15, 2026. Applications must be sent by email to i.mestdagh@wbi.be.
For further information, contact Isabelle Mestdagh at i.mestdagh@wbi.be. The detailed project call description is available as an attachment.
