Roadworks at the interchange between the Chaussée de Ninove (N8) and the Brussels Ring (R0) are starting in Dilbeek. These operations, scheduled from October 2026 to autumn 2029, aim to redevelop the interchange and construct a section of the Ringfietspad FR0. Throughout the works, the Ring (R0) will remain open to traffic, with three lanes maintained as much as possible in each direction. The Chaussée de Ninove (N8) will remain permanently accessible.
Transit traffic on the Chaussée de Ninove (N8) will continue to be possible due to the maintained opening of the bridge over the Ring (R0). For the construction of the bridge piers, traffic on the outer Ring will use three narrowed lanes. At junction 13 (Dilbeek), the entrances and exits on the Brussels side will remain open, while those on the Dilbeek side will be closed during this phase.
Traffic coming from Grand-Bigard can make a U-turn at junction 14 Anderlecht (Westland Shopping) to then take Exit 13 Dilbeek. Traffic from Dilbeek to Anderlecht will join the Ring (R0) towards Grand-Bigard and then perform a U-turn at junction 12 Kattebroekstraat.
From October 19, 2026, junction 12 Kattebroek will no longer be accessible. Users will need to use junction 11 Grand-Bigard or junction 13 Dilbeek, depending on their destination. Transit traffic in Kattebroekstraat will remain possible in both directions.
Phase 0, dedicated to preparatory works in October 2026, will involve the creation of two temporary U-turn loops at exits 12 Kattebroekstraat and 14 Anderlecht (Westland Shopping). During the setup of the loop at junction 12, the tunnel of Kattebroekstraat will be closed from October 5 to 16, but access to the entry and exit ramps will remain possible.
From October 16, after the U-turn loop is established at junction 14, Kaudenaardestraat will be closed at the level of the outer ring, making circulation between the Ring and this street impossible. Phase 1, from October 2026 to April 2027, will focus on the development of the new entrance and exit at junction 13 Dilbeek, Dilbeek side, and the construction of the cycle path bridge.
From March 2027, the central piers for the new cycle path bridge over the Ring (R0), as well as piers for a temporary bridge for public transport and emergency services, will be constructed.
